Foundation course
This 2 day workshop will give the skills to lead kiirtan on the harmonium, accompany other musicians, or play for personal enjoyment or spiritual practice. It is designed especially for those with little or no prior piano/ keyboard/ harmonium playing experience.
As well as the basics of playing simple kiirtan melodies and chords, the workshop will offer a deeper appreciation of music and kiirtan from both a western and eastern perspective, touching on music theory, history, science and philosophy.
